Meet Amanda Newman
Anyone can do fitness AND enjoy it. Start from where you are, progress safely, and the sky's the limit!
Amanda grew up in Milwaukee and has spent over half her life in Chicago. Amanda's journey into fitness began alongside her life-long training as a dancer. After a serious dance injury in her early 20s, years of inadequate treatment left her feeling like her body would be forever ‘broken’. Then she found a remarkable physical therapist who treated her holistically, acting like a detective to uncover and address her needs. This experience inspired Amanda to become the kind of supportive, one-on-one partner she found in her therapist. As your personal trainer, Amanda believes fitness isn’t just something to check off your list; it’s a fun journey that can transform your body and mind. She’ll help you embrace the challenge and find joy in every workout, making exercise less of a chore and more of a privilege. Together, you’ll shift your mindset from "I have to" to "I get to" and discover how fitness can brighten your daily life. Amanda is dedicated to understanding your unique needs and goals, ensuring you train safely and effectively while preventing injury. Feeling great in your body and celebrating what it can do is her top priority.
Amanda is a NASM-certified personal trainer with specializations in Corrective Exercise and Youth Exercise. She is also a certified Grade 1 Cecchetti Council of America ballet teacher and teaches dance and musical theater. Amanda received her BA in Musical Theatre Performance from Columbia College Chicago.
When she’s not at the gym or dance studio, Amanda enjoys cooking new recipes, tackling household projects, or cycling around the city.
